Windows XP Settings

Windows XP: Configuring Dial-up Networking.
- Click the Start Button, Control Panel:
- If you see Network Connections follow Instructions #1:
- If you see Network & Internet Connections follow Instructions #2:
- INSTRUCTIONS #1 - Network Connections
- Click -- Create a New Connection
- Connection Wizard screen appears > click Next
- Network Connection Type > Select "Connect to the Internet" > Next
- Select-- I want to setup my Internet connection manually, Click Next
- Select-- I connect with a dialup modem, Click Next
- For ISP Name, enter lvnworth, Click Next
- Enter the Phone Number
- PREFERRED DIAL-UP NUMBERS:
- In Leavenworth Enter--828-4887
- In Atchison Enter--674-0052
- In the KC Metro Area Enter--913-871-0448
- Click Next Type User Name and password, type password again in Confirm Password box
- You may have a check next to "Use this account name and password when anyone connects to the Internet from this computer" & "Make this the default Internet Connection".
- Click Next
- Make sure to put a check next to "Place Shortcut on Desktop" and click Finish.
- INSTRUCTIONS #2 - Network & Internet Connections
- Click - "Setup or Change my Existing Connection"
- Click - "Setup"
- Connection Wizard screen appears > click Next
- Network Connection Type > Select "Connect to the Internet" > Next
- Select "Set up my connection manually" > Next
- Select "Connect using a dialup modem" > Next
- For ISP Name type lvnworth > Next
- Enter the Phone Number:
- PREFERRED DIAL-UP NUMBERS:
- In Leavenworth Enter--828-4887
- In Atchison Enter--674-0052
- In the KC Metro Area Enter--913-871-0448
- If you are unsure of your calling area, please call support
- Click Next
- Type User Name and password, type password again in Confirm Password box
- You may have a check next to "Use this account name and password when anyone connects to the Internet from this computer" & "Make this the default Internet Connection"
- Click Next
- Make sure to put a check next to "Place Shortcut on Desktop" and click Finish.
